We have had a good year so far in 2011 . We enjoyed a
lunch in January at The Glebe Hotel, played skittles in February at
The Oaks, Redhill, was a good day . March saw us at Fairlawns
Hotel for our Annual Lunch and prize giving, We had a Spring Long
weekend at a very nice hotel in Hungerford and extremely
reasonable.we had a ride on the Kennet & Avon Canal, then
visited the Crofton Pumping Station on Saturday, June saw us once
again at Highfields in Dorsington, a most extrodanary house owned by
a multi millionaire and opened for the day for charity, this was in
Warwickshire and had to be seen to be believed, but we were made very
welcome and much enjoyed the day. July we had a very good treasure
hunt with lunch after, all around the cotswold area and didn't have
to leave your car to find the answers. August one of our members has
invited us to a lovely BBQ at their home near Banbury and September
we will be holding our Autumn Weekend in Llanberis with a visit on
the Welsh Highland Railway among other things. October will see us
for a lunch near Wroxeter and November for our AGM The Haughton
Hall Hotel. with lunch. So you see we try to do something at least
once a month.
So far for 2012 we have decided that we will re-instate
the previously annual Concour and Rally, along with the many other
interesting outings that are in the planning.
